CASPA Video Tutorial Section 4: Program Materials
[00:00:00] Hello, everyone. Welcome back to the CASPA navigation series. Today we'll go over the last section of CASPA, the program materials section. So let's jump right in.
[00:00:12] Depending on how many schools you apply to, they will be listed here for you to see. Now, throughout this process, I've only added Albany Medical College, so that's why you're only seeing one school. But for every school you apply to, there will be school-specific documents and fees, which will be listed here for you to see.
[00:00:35] For Albany Medical College, let's click on this, and now we see the homepage. It provides additional information about its own program. But one of the most important pieces of information you need is the link and the fees for the supplemental application, so that's something to keep in mind. Programs have supplemental applications for you to fill out, and there's a cost associated. But when you scroll down, it also has general information about the deadline, the program start term, and the start year.

Questions
[00:01:10] The next section is a questions section. Each program will have different questions for you to answer. So if you see these two questions here, it does not mean that these will be the same for other programs you've chosen.
Documents
[00:01:26] When we click on documents, you can upload, for example, military papers. If you have a resume and CV, you can also upload that as well.

Prerequisites
[00:01:36] In this prerequisite section, once you complete your transcript entry, you can see what prerequisite courses you may be missing or what classes you took that are not eligible under the program-specific requirements. So all of that information will be listed here once you have your transcript input.
[00:01:56] I did want to go over additional information about adding a program to see how the questions can vary from program to program.
Search for a Program
[00:02:06] Let's go right here, and you can search a program even through a single letter. For example, if we want to choose Ithaca College, let's go ahead; you see, it'll be checked off. And let's go back. Now you will have the general information listed for you on the home page, but right here is where it can vary greatly. Once you scroll down, you can see that Ithaca college requires a supplemental essay, and they have additional questions that require a minimum of 1000 characters. Be prepared to see these for some programs. You only find out after selecting the school, so it's essential to scroll through this quickly, so you are ready and have enough time to write these short essays.
Congratulations, you have completed the fourth and final section of your CASPA application - the program materials section. Use the links below to view the other videos in this CASPA navigation series.
