200+ PA Schools That Don’t Require the GRE

Pa programs that don't require the GRE

Are you like me and looking to dodge the GRE?

Does the thought of studying for the GRE exam make your palms sweat and your heart flutter?

Wouldn't it be great if you could find PA schools that don't require the GRE and simply avoid the GRE exam altogether?

Well, you are in luck! Roughly three out of four ARC-PA accredited PA programs have dropped the GRE entirely — and the number grows every cycle.

Below is the always-current list of US physician assistant programs that do not require the GRE for PA school acceptance — the live counts above the table tell you exactly how many, today.

✨ NEW — AI-POWERED

PA Programs That Don't Require the GRE

Live snapshot (Aug 5, 2026): 225 PA programs do not require the GRE, 86 require it, and 38 do not clearly state a policy.

Loading the live table…

Crunching the numbers: how many PA schools still require the GRE?

What exams are required for PA school admission?

The short answer, straight from the live counts above the table: only about 1 in 4 PA programs still require the GRE. The rest either never ask for it or will not look at it at all.

That is a genuine collapse, and it happened fast. The last time PAEA formally counted — a review of accredited program websites for its Curriculum Report 6 — 52.2% of PA programs required the GRE. Programs went test-optional when testing centers shut down in 2020, watched their classes perform exactly as well without it, and simply never went back.

PAEA program reports, 2018–2019 53–58% required the GRE
PAEA Curriculum Report 6, 2021–22 52.2% required the GRE
Today, from our verified directory about 27% — roughly 1 in 4

What about the other admission exams?

The GRE is not the only test out there, and a couple of the newer ones are quietly gaining ground while the GRE loses it. Here is PAEA's most recent national count of what programs ask for:

TOEFL (international applicants only) 97.0%
GRE 52.2% then — about 27% now
CASPer (situational judgment) 17.2%
PA-CAT (PA-specific content exam) 5.6%
MCAT 4.9%

Source: PAEA Curriculum Report 6, a review of 273 accredited program websites. It is the most recent national count PAEA has published — so treat the GRE row as the floor of the decline, not the ceiling.

Watch CASPer and the PA-CAT. As programs drop the GRE, some are replacing it rather than simply removing a hurdle. Do not assume a "no GRE" program means no testing at all — check what it asks for instead.

What is considered a competitive GRE score for PA school?

Among the programs that actually publish a GRE expectation, PAEA's most recent figures put the average at roughly 306 total — about 153 verbal, 152 quantitative, and 4.1 on analytical writing.

Percentiles matter more than the raw number. Every GRE administration differs slightly in difficulty, which is exactly why the percentile exists. Clear the 50th percentile in each section and your score has done its job — after that, your energy is far better spent on your patient care hours, your science grades, and your personal statement.

And keep the GRE in perspective. Among students who actually got into PA school last cycle, the average was a 3.68 overall GPA and a 3.61 science GPA — and the science number is where admissions committees separate people. No GRE score rescues a weak science transcript, and a strong one rarely needs rescuing.

One last thing before you skip the test

"Not required" and "not accepted" are not the same thing, and neither is "optional." Some programs ignore the GRE completely, some will read a good score if you volunteer one, and a handful of the programs in our list do not state a policy clearly at all — those are flagged separately above.

Build your program list first, then decide about the test. If nobody on your list wants a score, congratulations — you just bought yourself two months of study time. Put it into your hours.

Stephen Pasquini PA-C

Stephen’s rule of thumb

If you do have to take it, aim for 300+ overall (150 verbal, 150 quantitative), 3.5 on analytical writing, and above the 50th percentile in every section. Above 310 is genuinely strong.

So — should you take the GRE?

Here is how I would think about it, in three lines.

Nobody on your list requires it? Then don't take it. You just handed yourself back two months of your life — put them into patient care hours, which carry far more weight anyway.

One program you love requires it? Take it once, clear the 50th percentile, and move on. Do not let a single exam become the reason you never applied.

Sitting below the GPA median and looking for a counterweight? A strong score can help at the margins. An upward grade trend and a stack of hours help more.

Here is the honest bottom line: the GRE is the smallest lever you have. Your science grades, your hours, and your essay are the big ones — and unlike a test score, every one of those is still in your hands right now.

Need help with the part that actually moves the needle? We will help you write a personal statement the admissions committee remembers — with services to fit every budget.

    Hi Stephen….
Great job you’ve done and still doing. So i am an international graduate with an MD from my country in Africa(Nigeria). Now my concern are all the prerequisites ranging from 7-10year. I have been practicing for ober 12years and of course did all those basic sciences as part of my preclinical rotations. So how does this match the prerequisites being requested for. Also i seek an affordable school not requiring both GRE and TOEFL. Thank you

Hello! Thank you for this list. I am looking into the PA route but have a lot on my plate to get started. Do some PA schools not look at overall GPAs and just the pre-reqs to count? While I did well in undergrad with a 3.88 GPA, I am not currently doing well in my special master’s program (SMP) this spring semester with C’s in microbio and histology, and an F in immunology. I plan to withdraw immunology and retake it somewhere else. My question is, do I even have to retake it if PA schools don’t require it? How badly will it look that I had an F in a master’s level class? Will they focus on my undergraduate classes more? I feel like before I even look into what PA schools don’t require a GRE, I have to retake a class that I wished I didn’t. Please help the best you can to reassure me. Thank you!

I think the best situation would be to not report the F in immunology and to withdraw from the class, you will also want to work hard to bring up those grades in microbiology and histology as schools do care a lot about the trend. It will overshadow your outstanding work in undergrad as they will see these specialty master’s classes as a better reflection of how you may perform in their program and that might (unfortunately) give them cold feet.

    Hi Stephen,

I graduated from medical school (MD equivalent) in Australia and have hands on experience as an ophthalmologist in England. I am a US green card holder, currently living in Michigan. I would like to work as PA in an ophthalmology office in the US. Do I need PA qualifications in order to practice? If so, can this be done fully online via asynchronous learning in minimal time? Also, I haven’t taken SATS, GRE, etc. please advise. Thank you.

      Hi, SJ,

From the standpoint of the ARC-PA, individuals educated as physicians outside of the United States are not treated any differently than any other prospective PA student. To practice as a PA in the United States one must graduate from an ARC-PA accredited program and be certified by the NCCPA. If interested in applying to a PA program, such individuals should contact the PAEA for information on specific programs.

Here is a wonderful resource on the topic from the ARC-PA (they accredit US PA programs and determine who may sit for the PANCE exam): http://www.arc-pa.org/frequently-asked-questions/non-us-health-care-professionals/

Before you can work in the US, you must contact the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS International) to complete a visa screening program which, in part, will determine if your education was equivalent to that from a US PA Program. If your education is equivalent, you are eligible for a certificate that you can submit with your visa application to the US State Department. The State Department’s approval of your occupational visa may help you enter the U.S. but you are still not eligible to work as a PA in the U.S.

To become a PA in the United States, individuals must also attend and graduate from an ARC-PA–accredited entry-level PA program and pass the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE) administered by the National Commission on Certifying of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

For information on PA programs contact the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA): https://paeaonline.org/ and the directory of PA programs here: http://directory.paeaonline.org/

Eligibility criteria for taking the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE) are available on the NCCPA web site: http://www.nccpa.net/

Additional information on practicing as a PA in the US can be found at the American Academy of Physician Assistants’ (AAPA) website: https://www.aapa.org/

To determine if an individual state allows non-US educated physicians to practice as PAs without additional education and national certification, you would have to contact the licensing bodies of the specific states.

To find PA programs that accept international students:

I would start by searching the PAEA directory website and click the box “Accept int’l applicants.” Currently, there are 138 programs that accept international students. From there you need to narrow down further based on requirements. I would then use my PA program picker table. You can narrow your search even further using all your variables: https://www.thepalife.com/pa-program-picker/

Then, follow the links to the PA program websites and reach out to them personally. They will be able to guide you better than I since every program is a bit different. If you have any questions afterward just shoot me a reply.

Thanks so much, Tina! You inspired me to get off my duff and update this for 2019/2020. It’s amazing how much has changed in just 12 months since I last updated this post. I have fixed all the broken links and removed schools that do now require the GRE. For a while schools were dropping the GRE as a pre-PA requirement. The trend now, unfortunately, is moving in the opposite direction. This will likely not change as PA schools receive more applications this gives them just way to sift through the masses. Thanks again!

Thanks, James, I have updated the list and links. I really appreciate you taking the time to do this and provide updated links to the program websites! I’m always amazed that so many PA schools change their domains for their PA programs and don’t forward it automatically to the new address.

Is there a list of PA schools that don’t require your prerequisites to have been taken within the last 10 years from date of matriculation? I’m hoping to not have to take my general chemistry and biology over (I took them as a freshmen in college but graduated in 2010). Many schools want you withing the 10 year mark and I’m 2 years over but I taught Biochemisty to undergrads in graduate school as a TA! I have e-mailed some schools and they reply that there’s no exception and my application won’t make it through.

Hi Abbigail, I would love to develop such a list, many schools don’t publish this on their websites and because programs change their requirements from year-to-year it would take a bit of work to create and maintain an updated database…. It wouldn’t be impossible though! It’s a shame that schools won’t bend on this, it seems ridiculous in cases like yours where you have been teaching biochemistry for example!! Is this data published in The Applicant’s Manual of Physician Assistant Programs 2019? I know I don’t have it on my paschoolfinder.com website.

After a few edits on my own and with a few people I trust, I decided to submit my essay for editing through ThePALife to make sure I was really on the right track. I am supremely satisfied. The essay I wrote turned out to be a solid base, but Sarah went to work, and every change and suggestion had a logical place. She polished it up and made it shine. Thank you so much!

Sue did an excellent job. Despite my sending a request just in time for a holiday, not only did she meet my deadline-she was early. She asked questions beyond the provided text, in an effort to gain deeper insight into me as a person. Her positive attitude and professional review help to ease my stressful anticipation. I am happy I sought her service! (Thanks, Sue)

I just wanted to let you know that thanks to your help on my personal statement, I got 4 interviews! So far, that has led to 1 waitlist, and I just got my first acceptance today. 🙂 I could not have done it without your help, and I wanted to express my gratitude for all your work helping me tell my story and share my unique qualities. Thank you so much!

I just want to let you know I received multiple interview invitations and got my first acceptance a few weeks ago! I am still preparing for more interviews, but at this point, I am pretty certain I will be going to Midwestern University, and I think so much of my success with applications is because of your help with my personal statement. Because of this, I wanted to reach out and say THANK YOU! I really appreciate your support and I would definitely recommend this service to anyone applying to PA school 🙂
Alli Cowan, Pre-PA
I am so happy with the service Sarah provided! My personal statement turned out exactly how I was hoping it would!

I was at a point where I kept reading my essay over and over again and not knowing what to change. After Sue looked over and thoroughly edited the essay, I had a completely new focus! I knew exactly what to tweak and her service really cleared up any uncertainty I had with my essay. I’m now much more confident as I finish up my CASPA applications!
Julia Spalding, Pre-PA
Excellent service! The editor did a great job of working with me to write my personal statement as I wanted. They also provide some pointers and tips on how to write which is good for supplemental essays and writing prompts.
Ryan, Pre-PA
I have used The PA Life services throughout my application process this year and I am 100% satisfied! Sarah helped me with my personal statement and mock interviewing. As a second time applicant, she really helped me strengthen my statement to convey my story of why I wanted to be a PA. I felt very confident in submitting my statement thanks to her review and was later invited for my first interview! The mock interview service was EXTREMELY helpful. Sarah provided excellent feedback during our session on how I could better rephrase my responses to make them stronger, but still, sound natural and true to myself. The session eased a lot of the interview nerves I had that come interview day I felt pretty confident. I’m proud to say that after my first interview, I was accepted! Thank you, Sarah, for all of your help throughout my PA journey!
Amanda B, Pre-PA
Sarah is the best! She gets me and puts all her efforts for my message to come across in a clear and concise way. Obviously, her editing skills are superb! But she also has a very sweet and pleasant way of being. I highly recommend Sarah and the PA Life Personal Statement Collaborative. I have not yet received an interview, but keeping my fingers crossed!

Sarah did a fantastic job bringing my personal statement to life. She took her time listening to my concerns and was extremely patient with me whenever new ideas came to my mind. When we began the process, I did not feel confident about what I had written – now, it is one of the most vital parts of my application. Additionally, she responds quickly to any email/correspondence, which makes her a pleasure to work with. She also made time to speak with me over the phone on a day she had fully booked to ensure I could meet a deadline. Details like this prove how much Sarah cares. I am so grateful to have worked with Sarah and The PA Life!
Sophia, Pre-PA
I used your service for my personal statement and my top school secondary. I feel this is an amazing service and have recommended it to many of my friends who are currently applying to PA school.

Sarah is amaaaaaaaaaaazing!! She is super kind and helpful. My original essay was very long at about 9,000 characters and I had no idea how to trim it down. Sarah helped me decide what to include and eliminate from my personal statement while correcting many of my grammatical errors. She was a complete professional and very easy to work with. I would recommend Sarah and The PA Life personal statement revision service to everyone, they are absolutely wonderful!
Fariha, Pre-PA
I thought that the service was very helpful in helping me with my personal statement. Duke was always prompt with responding to emails and made himself very available throughout the process. He was also good and helping, but also making sure that I was the one doing the writing. I think that the structure of the service helped me put in enough time to come out with a very good finished product.
David H. Pre-PA
This was just what my essay needed. I am confident that I have answered all the questions without sounding too “braggy”.
Kelsey, Pre-PA
Deanna (my editor at The PA Life) is the GOAT. She went so far above and beyond all my expectations. My jaw was on the floor reading my personal statement after she worked on it.
Austin, Pre-PA
Sarah from The PA Life was an incredible resource for editing my personal statement. Her edits took into account the big picture of the message of the statement and helped guide me when writing additional content my statement was lacking. Her edits and responses were both prompt and thorough, and I truly feel that she made a huge positive impact on my personal statement.

Sarah was beyond excellent. Her timelines and efficiency provided me with enough time to revise and meet with her again before our final draft. Her comments and edits were extremely effective. I hope to be receiving an interview and will be using this service (requesting Sarah) for a mock interview if that happens!

I feel that I have a stronger essay because of your honest feedback and your help!

I am amazed by what Deanna was able to do in helping me get my supplemental essays in shape. I had hit a serious roadblock and she was able, and in an incredibly quick manner, help me remove those blocks. I am very grateful!
Lily, Pre-PA
Sarah was absolutely wonderful. She not only helped take my personal statement to the best level, but she also made it easy to understand why certain changes were better. In the end, she went through and used a highlighting method to show how we connected things to PA and skills that were good. This made it easier to visualize everything. I’d recommend Sarah to anyone applying to PA school that needs that extra push on their personal statements.
Taylor, Pre-PA
I was very pleased working with Duke on my personal statement. I’m currently in the middle of applying to PA school, so I haven’t heard back from the programs. I’m looking forward to the experience though.

Katie, Pre-PA
Deanna was an amazing editor and provided wonderful feedback to my personal statement. I was very hesitant and nervous prior to approaching an editing service, but I do not have any regrets. Deanna not only critiqued my personal statement, but also gave guidance and reasoning behind her critiques. I now feel confident and excited to fully present my self on paper to admissions. I highly recommend her and the services provided for any future applicant. I hope to receive an interview and acceptance this year for next fall. Thank you!

I am beyond pleased with the work Sarah and I were able to accomplish together, and I’m so grateful to have gotten the chance to work with her. I am so happy I used your service. It really took all of my frustrations and anxiety about my personal statement away. I am really happy with the final product. While Maura did a great job with editing my grammar and making my essay sound better overall in my first edit, Sue did an amazing job turning my essay into a story that flows in my final edit.
Marissa Pre-PA
Deanna was so amazing! She was really thorough and strengthened my essay in one edit! I feel so confident submitting my essay and I have high hopes for interviews! Sarah was beyond amazing, she was always on time with my essay edits, took the time needed to really listen to what I had to say. Sarah pretty much transformed my essay form caveman style to an easy, awesome flow good content easy and fun to read essay. I am very thankful for her collaboration, I could not have done anything that resembles her quality of work. Thanks a million!!!!
Jerry C, Pre-PA
I am so impressed by Carly’s editing, advice, and insight. It was incredibly thorough and helpful. I wish I would have done this sooner. I had three interviews this cycle and three waitlists. I believe I would have gotten more interviews this past cycle if I would have done the essay edit last year. As a waitlisted applicant preparing for another application cycle, I submitted my essay to two other services at the same time and The PA Life gave the most helpful, detailed, and professional edit.
Jenn, Pre-PA
Deanna was amazing! She was able to help me put into professional language my desire to help people. I deeply appreciate and value all of her feedback, edits to my essay, and guidance. She was very attentive, capable, and helpful. She explained things I didn’t understand in a way that allowed me to comprehend. She’s a wonderful writer! I am so grateful for her help! I was stressed out about my essay, and her guidance really helped me stay on track (and calm me down) and portray my interest in becoming a PA clearly and precisely in my essay.
Valerie Charlton, Pre-PA

Sarah helped to condense my detailed thoughts into a powerful essay. Over the phone, she was careful to collaborate with me before making any changes so that the piece remained under my control and in my voice. She served as a guide and insured the essay brought out my strengths and reasons for pursuing the PA profession. Overall, I’m incredibly happy with the service!

I was extremely stressed out about writing my personal statement, and finally decided to search the internet for advice and assistance. I came across the personal statement editing service on the PA Life, and decided to give it a try. I received a response within a day, and my stress was instantly relieved. I worked personally with Duke to edit my statement, and he is a phenomenal writer. He didn’t change the content of my statement, but rather helped me tell my story in a way that is much more desirable! I cannot recommend this service enough to others seeking help on their personal statement. Duke was friendly, sincere, and definitely experienced! I felt 100% confident in his editing abilities, and we worked together the entire time so that we were both pleased with the results! Thanks again, Duke, for all of your help!

Sarah was amazing to work with. I love that she is able to take what I am trying to say and form concise sentences that flow together so effortlessly. Every time I read a paragraph that she ‘cleans’ up for me, my immediate response is “WOAH!”. Simply put, she was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend The PA Life personal statement editing service with her to anyone!

Your service was able to help me figure out exactly what I needed to include, what did not belong and helped me display my experiences the best way possible to form a great essay. Carly was able to help me create my best essay by just editing the order and grammar without changing much of any of my written work. I am very happy with how my essay turned out. Definitely worth the money, thank you for all your help!
Nicolas, Pre-PA
Sarah was amazing! She completely transformed my essay and helped include other important key points that I was previously missing in my essay. The editing process was simple and it was easy to collaborate on google docs. I would 100% recommend The PA Life editing service to my friends and people who just need that extra help to make their essay stand out to admission committees. I look forward to this application cycle with my new essay!
Myriam, Pre-PA
This was my third time applying to PA school and I wanted it to be my last so I figured getting help with the essay would make a difference in my application. Paying for the one on one service was the best idea I’ve had to date. Sarah was great in that she literally combined three different essays I had written into one phenomenal essay! I literally have no idea how she did it. Sarah helped me focus all of my thoughts and experience down into one concise, yet personal essay. I truly think this will help me get into PA school!

Just wanted to drop you a quick line to let you know that I got accepted to UC Davis, and have accepted their offer. I can’t thank you enough for your help through this process. I owe much credit to you and your amazing editing skills in helping me get in. With endless appreciation!
Jolene Duthie
I love Deanna! She was incredibly helpful and encouraging. I liked the way she constructively gave me feedback and I liked her ability to really strengthen my own ideas instead of dismissing them like other services. She is amazing at seeing things from different angles and that way rearrange and enhance my narrative. I did get an interview from the top choice and an offer a week later. Thank you so much and I will definitely recommend ThePALife to future prePAs.
Klam, Pre-PA
Carly Hallman did an amazing job helping me with my personal statement! I was feeling conflicted and uncertain about my own personal statement, but she helped set my mind at ease! I now have peace of mind regarding my personal statement. She was so helpful in correcting any grammar errors and also informed me of what I could add to my essay. I knew I was missing something in my essay, but could not quite put my finger on it. Carly identified what was missing so I could make those changes to my essay. I’m so thankful for her help because I do not think I could have figured out that “missing piece” had it not been for her. I now feel confident about my essay and I am extremely happy with it! 🙂 Thank you so much!!!
Ramsha, Pre-PA
I can not speak highly enough of Sarah. She was extremely helpful and easy to work with. I think she did an especially admirable job packaging the message I was trying to get across in my essay in a concise format that flows smoothly. Thank you again!

Very prompt response and turnaround time. While I did not speak with Duke over the phone, his team’s edits were thorough, clear and very helpful. Highly recommended.
Dave H. Pre-PA
I LOVED the suggestions Carly made for my essay. Not only was she thorough with her edits, but she also provided a lot of quality feedback that really made my essay shine. Carly took my unedited, messy essay and helped me better convey what I was trying to say. I have nothing but positive things to say about this experience and feel this service was worth every penny.
Rachel, Pre-PA
I can’t begin to explain how thrilled I am to have stumbled on this service. Like many other PA applicants, I was unsure of whether I was on the right track with my personal narrative. Reading Stephen’s two different PA school application essays showed me how to come up with something unique and creative, but the private personal statement review really made my essay shine. Duke was so kind and helpful in helping me understand what admissions committees look for in a strong essay. Our phone conversations were so thorough, as we read through and discussed every word in my essay. Sue’s guidance helped me cut out the fluff to reach the character limit.
Melissa T. Pre-PA
I wanted to let you know that after 4 interviews and 4 waitlists, I was informed a seat opened up at my number one school Drexel in Philadelphia!! So I have officially enrolled in a PA program. This feeling is the lightest I have ever felt and it is incredible. Aside from myself and my mom who has emotionally supported me through this all, you were a huge part of making this happen. I cannot thank you enough for helping tell my story. If you ever want a review to be written somewhere, I would be glad to write one. I have nothing but respect for your talent in listening and translating someone’s intention and experiences into a rounded and full story. Thank you again.
Sarah, R PA-S
I worked closely with Duke and Sue for the revisions on my personal statement. They must have edited my original version half a dozen times before they felt it was good enough to send off and never made it seem like an inconvenience. They always responded to my e-mails within a 24-hour time frame but usually got back to me within a few hours. I am very pleased with how my personal statement turned out thanks to all of their time, ideas and direction. The service the PA Life provides is well worth the money spent! I loved this service! Not only did my editor transform my essay, she helped me feel more confident in my application moving forward. She was extremely personable and efficient. I love my essay and now I’m even more excited about applying for school because of the help I received from The PA Life! Highly recommend!!

I had an overall great experience working with Duke. He was open to my suggestions and provided great feedback on my essay. So far I haven’t gotten any interviews yet, but it is still early in the process. I will keep you updated when I get interviews. Steve

Sarah Morris Schultz was my PA statement editor and she was absolutely fabulous! She helped to shave my original 4-page long, winding PA statement down to a 2 page impactful, poignant, moving statement that lead me to get accepted to a Doctor of Medical Science program in Physician Assistant Studies. She has such a gift for writing and knowing how to say things in just the right way and use the right words! One of the DMS PA program committee members started off my video conference online interview by stating that my PA statement was the best he ever read, not “one of the best” but THE BEST statement. My heart leapt. My PA statement years ago had caused me NOT to get accepted to the school that I had hoped. I did get accepted to a good PA school, got my degree, and started practicing in this field that I love. However, this time I decided to humble myself and get help writing a good statement. Praise God, it paid off. I am so grateful for the PA Life service and fee for the one-on-one service is worth every penny! I recommend everyone get Sarah Morris Schultz. She’s the bomb.com! I love you, Sarah 🙂

This past June, you helped me formulate my personal statement for my PA school applications. After our video chat and countless hours editing my CASPA information, I submitted my application and was then given the opportunity to interview at five PA programs. To prepare for my interviews, I would read my personal statement over and over again to remind myself of why I wanted to be a PA. This helped me succeed in my interviews. I was accepted to a few schools, but have I have made my final decision to matriculate into the University of Texas Medical Branch PA program in July! I wanted to follow up after I made my final decision to thank you for helping me with an important step to achieve this amazing life goal. Several of my friends are applying this upcoming cycle, and I will definitely be passing along your information. Again, thank you so much!
Kylie, Pre-PA
Thank you for taking the time to edit my paper! The feedback was constructive and very helpful. I liked how you highlighted all the strong points in my essay. It made me feel reassured that my essay was heading in the right direction. I also liked how you told me exactly what I needed to add to make it stronger.
Juliana, Pre-PA
Deanna was amazing! She really went above and beyond the single-edit that I could afford. I consider myself a pretty good writer, but she helped me focus and ground my story without sacrificing the overall creativity of the original piece. All I can say is wow! If there ever was something worth the money, this service is it!
John S. Pre-PA
I felt our mock interview was an absolute necessity to prepare for the Academic and Personal interviews from Yale School of Medicine PA Program Online. I felt the calibre of questions you had asked me, in addition to the coaching and post-question feedback, really helped me understand what an ideal response looks like and gave me time to reflect and prepare my responses for the formal interview just two days later. During my interviews I was asked plenty of questions I didn’t have a prepared response to (and I had combed through tons especially in the days following our mock interview!) I can say that I answered each question genuinely, authentically, and showed both interviewers the best version of myself. I didn’t stammer or lose my place, and I felt confident in my words and expressions. I don’t think I would have been as comfortable, calm, or confident without having accepted your guidance and feedback and learned from our time together. Gratitude for your words, encouragement, and support is an understatement. Thank you, Sarah! Best Regards, Jacob

This review is long overdue, but my gratitude for how much The PA Life has helped me will never fade. Ms. Schultz went above and beyond to help me tailor my personal statement to my unique stories and qualities. She was open to my suggestions and often thought from my perspective instead of imposing her thoughts on my essay. I appreciate the time she took to help me create a personal statement that expressed my thoughts clearly and concisely. I am happy to report that I have been invited to interviews, and I’m on the waitlist for one of my top schools. If I don’t get in this cycle, I will be using the editing services again. Big shout out to Ms. Schultz!! Thank you for all your encouragement, patience, and support! I am honored to have the chance to work with you. 🙂

I was accepted into PA school last cycle and am currently in my second semester! I am a part of the inaugural class at Keck Graduate Institute. Your services really helped me during the application process. I enjoyed working with my interviewer on my personal statement. She helped me view my experiences from a different perspective, making my personal statement more unique and stand out amongst other applicants. The mock interview was also very helpful and prepared me for my one and only interview. I was given great pointers and feedback on how to refine my answers. Thank you again for your services!
Michelle Chen, PA-S
I just wanted to reach out an let you that I actually got into PA school this year! Out of the 10 programs I applied to, 4 offered me interviews. The first interview wound up being my top choice and they offered me a spot. I accept and declined all my other interviews. So I am absolutely overjoyed!! I wanted to let you know though. Your editing and help, no doubt, helped me get through the initial phase. Thank you so much! I am truly grateful.

I was so glad that I chose to have Duke look over my essay, he turned it from long, rambling, and scattered to a much more concise, well written essay. I really feel as though it represents me well! Duke always responded quickly and I felt as though I got a lot of value for the money. Thank you!

My reviewer was Deanna Matzen who was incredible. I reached out to The PA Life’s editing service after being disappointed by myparesource, whom I was referred to initially. Deanna composed two alternate ways to structure my journey and allowed me to find a novel way to present my personal statement. After revision, I was able to flip my lens, utilize my introduction as my conclusion, and the rest of the paper began to fall into place. Very satisfied with the quality of her work, thank you so much, Deanna!
Steven, Pre-PA
Deanna’s edits and feedback were stunningly thorough and exact, and her revision was more than I could have hoped for! I am very grateful for her patience and encouragement. I cannot recommend her service highly enough in return for her help and support.
Angela, Pre-PA
Deanna gave me excellent feedback on my personal statement, and I couldn’t be more grateful. She was very articulate and gave examples for me to work with on the rewrite. What I struggled with most was the organization of my writing, and Deanna helped me structure my paper so that it was easy to read. I would 100% recommend this service to a friend applying to PA school. Thank you so much!
Daniela, Pre-PA
Really great service, definitely worth the money! I am very pleased with the amount of work that went into editing my paper and giving reasons as to why sentences or paragraphs were changed around. Carly did an amazing job!

I am so glad I did this! Sarah was absolutely amazing, and she did such a great job of helping put my words together in a way that sounded professional and made the most sense! She was a true hero and made me feel so much more confident in my personal statement!

Working with Sarah was a wonderful experience. She was prompt, attentive, and incredibly supportive throughout the process. Sarah never deviated from the authenticity of my essay. Even after she made vast changes, the essay still felt true to what I wanted to express. Thank you, Sarah! I would recommend this service to anyone applying to PA school.
Ashley, Pre-PA
The ease, frequency, and promptness of communication were some of the best aspects of this service. I found the review and revisions to be very thoughtful and explained in a way where I knew exactly how to apply them to my essay. I would 100% recommend the PA Life PS review to any applicant, and especially enjoyed working with Carly. I am hopeful my personal statement will gain the attention of PA programs I am applying to.
Charlie, Pre-PA
I used the personal statement editing service through The PA Life, and I worked with Sarah. She was AMAZING and made such a difference in both the quality of my personal statement and in my confidence as an applicant. That said, I’m so grateful to say I’ve been accepted into two out of the three programs I applied to and have an interview with the third on Friday of this week. I couldn’t be more excited!
Nikki, PA-S
Sue was awesome and ensured I received my edited version of the essay in a timely manner. The editing was above exceptional and exceeded my expectations. Thanks so much!! You guys are awesome!
HK, Pre-PA
Sue was great! She edited my essay in a short time frame and the comments and feedback were very informative. She helped link all of my main ideas and gave great advice regarding appropriate information for the essay. I highly recommend this service.
Michelle, Pre-PA
I want to say thank you, first off for providing such a service. It was difficult having to write a personal statement and then have others critique it, when there is not a clear rubric to follow. I think having to write a personal statement is such an emotional process, and then having others edit it, can be a very harsh pill to swallow. Thank you for your edits, I have no doubt that this process will make my personal statement more compelling and hopefully a more competitive applicant.
Stephanie, Pre-PA
I have recently been accepted to a program that was one of my top choices, and I also was waitlisted with two other schools. I wanted to thank you again for all your help Duke.  Not only am I grateful for your knowledge of writing and grammar (which were invaluable), but most importantly your kind word and motivation, which I needed so much at the time.  You’re a great person!

I’m emailing you to let you know that I received an acceptance call yesterday! It’s my first cycle applying so I’m still in shock. This may sound weird to say, but you have been a part of my journey since the beginning when I was trying to figure out how to write my personal statement, to practicing for the interview that led to my acceptance. I genuinely believe that I would not have been accepted into the program if it weren’t for you.

This service was invaluable – I felt decent about my essay, but it’s remarkably better. I appreciate the level of detail and courtesy even with my discounted rate. You guys are too great!

We worked on my essays back in summer and oh, how much work it was! But it all paid off because I just got accepted into the school of my first choice! Thank you so much for your time and dedication to my success. I will also be glad to recommend your services to other pre-PA students at my school!
Jennifer, H Pre-PA

Thank you so much for helping me with my physician assistant program application essays and interview! I am so excited to let you know that I received multiple PA school acceptances and have decided that I will be attending Cornell University’s PA Program in New York City. The program begins in February 2019 and I cannot wait to begin!  I truly appreciate all your help and encouragement throughout my PA application process.

I really felt the person who edited my essay, Sue Edmondson, took the time to get to know me as a person because she wanted my essay to reflect exactly who I am. I couldn’t have been more impressed with the edits and revisions she has given me along with the reasoning behind each revision.
Nicala, Pre-PA
