Pfizer for Professionals
Pfizer for Professionals: As much as I hate to give my email address over to the pharmaceutical companies this one is worth it.
When you create a free professional account you get free access to several amazing resources and even an iPhone app that allows you to access these resources on the go. And yes, it really is free!
The 5 Minute Clinical Consult is quite extensive, but not the complete version and the Epocrates RX Online Premium lacks the ability to search diseases. Shame on you Pfizer for making us listen to all your drug reps and you can't even spring for the full version. But, what should we expect?
You also get access to A.D.A.M Quick sheets, links to patient assistance programs, and soon: journal reprints, and free printed patient literature.
Check it out and you can decide if it is worth the cost of your email address.

I am guessing that this is no longer available. I’m not sure how old this article is but I would really love to know how to get free access to Merck Manual or 5 min Clinical Consult.

Hi Sam,
I hadn’t checked this in a while but sadly you are right, although they still offer access to Epocrates® Online Premium* for what it is worth. https://www.pfizerpro.com/sign-in-register?destination=%2Fsupport%2Fsupport-services%3Furl%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fonline.epocrates.com%2F . I have gone ahead and updated this post to reflect the changes. Thanks for the heads up. If you do find the Merck Manual or 5 Minute Clinical Consult let me know. I did a quick search and it seems like these golden days may be over.
